Win Hampton Court Flower Show tickets and a meal at Brasserie Blanc! *closed*
As you might have read, back in April, Mr E and I were lucky enough to visit Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Raymond Blanc’s deliciously decadent hotel in Oxfordshire. I’ve also visited before and been lucky enough to be shown around the gorgeous gardens, too. If you watched Kew on a Plate you’ll know that Raymond Blanc is really keen on gardening and cooking with his own produce. It obviously runs in the family, because his son, Olivier, along with Charlotte Salt, has created a lovely little character, Henri le Worm to show children where food actually comes from and encourage them to learn more about nature and the important role it plays in our food.
Henri le Worm
As well as an Henri le Worm app and website, henrileworm.com (voiced by lovely Simon Pegg), you’ll find him at Raymond’s Brasserie Blanc group of restaurants too - the Henri children’s menu has been available at the brasseries since Christmas and is always a huge success with young diners, featuring half portion sizes such as charcuterie platters, mini moules pots, crispy chicken and scrummy puddings.
Oli has now taken Henri a step further and decided to create a show garden at this year’s Hampton Court Flower Show, which runs from 30th June to 5th July 2015. It’s a great way to encourage children to get involved in gardening, and the Henri le Worm children’s garden (stand number F443) will be overseen by horticulturist Chris Collins. The garden will be packed with amazing stuff like chickens, edible hanging baskets, a fruit border, child-friendly raised beds, and loads of bright colours - a proper touchy, feely wonderland! The centre of the garden will also have an outdoor kitchen area where Raymond himself will be cooking ingredients from the garden.
Plan of the garden
It’s such a wonderful idea and I’m SO excited that I’m going to be going along to experience the garden at the show! I’d love you to experience it too, so Oli has really kindly given me four tickets to the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show for Wednesday 1st July to give away. And as an added bonus, this lovely prize also includes a meal for a family of four at your local Brasserie Blanc!
To enter, just leave a comment below and tell me why you’d like to pop along and see the glorious Henri le Worm garden! Usual English Mum competition rules apply. Entrants must have a UK postal address, does not include travel, meal prize does not include drinks. This competition ends at 8am Monday 29th June, to give us time to get the tickets to you before your fab day out!
