I’m home!! Oh we had such a lovely time on our cruise (if you’ve been following me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, you’ll have seen all the fun), and I’m literally back for one day before Erica and I head out to Walt Disney World Resort, Florida to check out everything new in the world of Disney dining (and to whizz around on a few rides, of course). I was delighted to come back to a fabulous delivery in the shape of new Ryvita Lunch Packs, so as Erica’s staying before we head off to Gatwick, we though we’d have a little play and concoct some quick and healthy snackage to set us up for our long flight.
I’m already a mega fan of something on toast, but these handy wrapped packs of four delicious crackers take it to the next level. Rye is super-healthy (rich in wholegrain and dietary fibre) and they’re full of nutrients like zinc, magnesium and iron too. The new Ryvita Lunch Packs come in six different varieties including Pumpkin Seed and Oat, Sunflower Seed and Oat, Cracked Black Pepper, Sweet Onion, Mediterranean Herb and Hint of Chilli. We did a bit of experimenting and came up with some delicious flavour combinations: a spicy tomato salsa made simply with fresh tomatoes and chilli, cooked in a little olive oil with salt and pepper, topped with a poached egg and a sprinkle of coriander on the Cracked Black Pepper variety, and sliced fresh avocado with a drizzle of sriracha on the Hint of Chilli flavour.

I could eat either of these for lunch or breakfast, but if you’ve got a sweet tooth, you should definitely try our peanut butter, sweet red apple and honey creation, piled on top of the Pumpkin Seed and Oat flavour. The packs are a great healthy option and so easy to take with you, already wrapped and perfect for topping with hummus, cream cheese or whatever else you fancy.

The new packs are available in the shops now, with an RRP of £1.59. What do you think? You’ll never go back to something on toast ever again!
