Introducing NatWest Money Clip

I’ve been a NatWest customer for donkey’s years, and regular readers will know that I’m a huge fan. Their online banking is fab, the people in our local branch are lovely, and the phone app is absolutely invaluable. We’ve all got NatWest bank accounts and the phone app (available on most smartphones to NatWest customers with online Banking and a UK mobile number) is fab. I can check my balance instanty and we can transfer money to each other and the kids (yep, I’ll be coming to that) in seconds. I genuinely haven’t got anything bad to say about them, so when they asked me if I would be interested in getting involved with NatWest Money Clip, they got a resounding YES from me.

I don’t know how you feel about money - you might be one of those really sorted, organised people who understands base rates and has all their financial stuff sorted on a spreadsheet - but if you’re like me, and find it a bit confusing and at times overwhelming dealing with household bills, mortgages, savings, loans and pensions, Money Clip is going to provide loads of help for all of us, so we can simplify our finances and hopefully view them with a lot less confusion.

What can you expect to discover with Money Clip over the coming weeks? Well, there’s Money Clip Minute, a series of topical weekly videos talking about things going on in the news and in finance that could affect us and our money, then there will be Money Clip Lives, insight in other people’s finances, real life stories, challenges and other interesting stuff, plus Money Clip Tips: all sorts of free help and inspiration to help you (and me) get our finances together for the New Year - there’ll be great app recommendations, tips on savings, security and online safety as well as travel, household help and loads more.

As well as on the NatWest website and YouTube, there will also be loads of information in The Telegraph as well, where they’ll be investigating topics such as Council Tax, brand reward cards and household bills.

So what part will I be taking in all this? Well, I’ll be trying to sort out my finances, so I’ll have ideas for cutting down on your food shopping, dealing with a financial crisis and I’ll be trying out some of the top tips to reduce my bills and letting you know how I get on. I’ll also be picking up on some of the Money Clip news items, both on YouTube and in the Telegraph and discussing ones of particular interest to me (and hopefully, you).

So first things first, subscribe on YouTube to NatWest Money Clip, and keep checking back here for loads of interesting stuff. 2016 is the year we finally get on top of our finances, and I’m ready to get going!
