Bunnies

One of the joys of our new rural life is the bunnies. Our resident rabbit population (mornin’ Paddy! mornin’ Paddy!) has absolutely exploded - they sit in the middle of the drive when you walk down to get the post (I know - WALK down
to get the post - it’s quite a long way, aren’t we posh!!), then as soon as you’re within five feet of them they suddenly run backwards and forwards madly several times before disappearing down the nearest bunnyhole. Why not just walk to the
hole in an orderly fashion? Well, that wouldn’t be half as much fun would it. I’ve noticed that they’re loitering by the trampoline now Hubby’s put it up (learnt a few new swear words there!). I’m sure they’re going to hop on and have a sneaky bounce when nobody’s looking. The Irish cows are lovely as well. I never knew that cows were nosey, but you’ll be hanging out washing or whatever, then all of a sudden feel like you’re being watched, then turn round to find all the cows crammed into a little gang, watching you silently over the fence. It’s quite bizarre! They like their privacy though, as Son #1 found when he got zapped by the electric fence. It’s okay, he recovered.

Hello World!

Well, I can’t quite believe I’m going to do this, but it was suggested to me by my friend (you know who you are!), and seeing as I know not a soul in this whole green and pleasant land, it’ll take up the time. And hey, you never know, someone might read it! We only arrived in Ireland last Sunday and I’ll fill you in on my family, etc, shortly, but for my first couple of posts I’m going to take snippets from emails I’ve sent to my friends just so I can work out what I’m doing, and we can get to know each other!
