You know me, I love anything sustainable or eco-friendly. My obsession for a while has been searching for the perfect reusable bottle. I tend to take one everywhere with me: in the car, in my bag if I’m out for the day, and definitely when I’m travelling (although it was a massive fail in China as you can’t drink the water and there are very few water fountains). I recently found my dream bottle (a rose gold beauty) at one of my favourite online shops, Steamer Trading Cookshop. Steamer not only do all sorts of amazing cookware (the Nordic Ware! be still my beating heart), but they also sell a ton of eco-friendly items too, and they’ve very kindly offered to give away a range of their products to one lucky reader. Fancy the chance to win a hamper of sustainable products from Steamer Trading Cookshop? Read on!
Now back to that bottle. My rose gold, double walled stainless steel bottle is made by a brand called Built. It’s not just a bottle, oh no, but a flask that keeps cold things cold for 24 hours and hot things hot too (for six hours!). It’s got a simple push-on, leak proof lid (no more trying to unscrew a lid one-handed) and it’s not too heavy either. There will be one of these beauties in the hamper (it might be a different colour), along with a selection of brilliant eco-friendly products, selected especially for you.
The hamper also contains these incredibly clever Stasher reusable food bags (I don’t know about you, but one of the hardest things to replace in the kitchen are those plastic freezer bags – one you’ve opened things like ham and cheese, it’s incredibly difficult to keep them fresh and although lidded boxes are fine, they’re quite bulky). These bags are 100% silicone, plastic free, reusable and dishwasher proof – and there’s a couple of different sizes in the hamper for you to try.
Another of my eco nightmares are straws. I’m not a fan anyway, but if you really need to use a strawer, then these reusable stainless steel ones are amazing. And if you’re worried about how to keep them clean, the kit includes a little cleaning brush too. Clever stuff!
You’ll also find a handy, 100% BPA Free reusable spork, a Stojo collapsible travel mug, and you can wave goodbye to your pesky roll of cling film as there’s some clever Bee’s Wrap beeswax reusable food wrap for you to try too, handmade by infusing organic cotton with beeswax, organic jojoba oil and tree resin – I’ve got some of this too and can’t wait to try it. Apparently you just wash them in cold water and reuse over and over again.
