Ahhh bank holidays. Three days of absolutely nothing to do and hopefully a bit of sunshine too. I was just reading an Instagram post from a fellow introvert who said, ‘three whole days of nothingness to look forward to’ and that’s absolutely what I’m looking forward to as well: a potter about with my plants, cooking some delicious food, maybe a wander into the village to bimble about the flower festival at the local church with my Mum… perfection. I know some people love a full calendar of exciting events, but I’m happiest at home, with my favourite people and a large glass of rosé. Of course I’m absolutely not ruling out a bit of internet shopping and the long weekend brings with it some rather lovely bank holiday bargains. I’ve brought you a few of the best ones that have dropped into my inbox – along with hundreds of GDPR emails, MAKE THEM STOP! – over the last week or so.
Firstly, and fabulously, the wonderful people at hush have been having promoting their ‘7 days of summer style‘ offer, with £10 off 10 styles every day until Sunday. So far, we’ve seen £10 off 10 different tops, trousers, dresses and footwear, but you can expect jumpers, accessories, and tees too! If you missed anything, tomorrow you’ll have the full choice of all styles included in the promotion, including this effortlessly stylish Dakota striped dress, just £65 with the promotion. Oh and don’t forget hush are offering FREE delivery (and free returns) to all UK addresses with the code SUM18 at checkout.
Topshop have up to 50% off this bank holiday, plus free standard delivery until Monday 28th May, available both online and in store on selected lines. I’m not sure how robust they’d be, but I’m a bit obsessed with these Rowanne padded slides (I can’t bring myself to call them sliders, as that’s a tiny burger as far as I’m concerned).
Not currently in the sale, but too nice not to mention, is this diagonal stripe midi, which is all over my Instagram feed at the moment and I know loads of you will absolutely love it:
If you’re a member of H&M Club (and if not, why not? Get the app – you’ll still get the discount!), there are more bank holiday bargains in the shape of 15% off everything this weekend. If you love wearing bikinis but are a bit self conscious in the tummy area this swimsuit is absolute perfection. It’s just £12.99 and comes in black or yellow as well as this tropical print. Bum coverage looks a little sparse though, so might be worth sizing up if you prefer more:
I tried on this floral maxi in store last week too and it’s lovely: floaty and cool, perfect with Converse and a denim jacket, but size up – it comes up very small.
ASOS have got 30% off occasionwear which includes some lovely dresses and jumpsuits as well as heels and jewellery. I have no idea why I’m drawn to this YAS dot and stripe ruffle dress, but the heart wants what the heart wants (and it’s kinda monochrome after all), plus it’s reduced from £65 to £45.50. Love.
John Lewis currently have a price match promotion with up to 10% off selected beauty, plus up to 30% off selected women’s and men’s fashion, ending 23:59 Monday. After reading this piece from Amanda at Online Stylist about white dresses, I’ve now got my eye on this cute little Phase Eight cotton broderie dress (if white’s not your thing it comes in an amazing chartreuse colour as well).
And finally – I wanted to tell you about a new discovery I’ve made recently, JD Williams. If you’ve not shopped with them before, they’ve got a mega 20% off your first order and they have some fabulous brands, including Monsoon, Coast, Levi’s, Adidas, Ugg and more. Look past the brands, though, and you’ll find some really gorgeous pieces – I fell in love with this Joanna Hope floral maxi (not monochrome me at all, but it seemed perfect for wafting about on Santorini in the sunshine – excuse the mad hair). They’ve got 30% off loads of summer stuff at the moment – well worth a look.
Et voila! If you come across any more fab discounts anywhere, feel free to share in the comments. Happy bank holiday weekend, my lovelies xx
Edit: ooh, just found out that Boots have double points when you spend £20 or more online.
