I’ve been so excited about pressing publish on this. January isn’t the kindest of months, and a little web-browsing of beautiful new clothes is exactly what we need to get us through to the finish. With impeccable timing, the new hush pre-spring collection is live from today, featuring an ever-stylish mix of laid back luxe: easy shapes, gorgeous new prints, some updated old favourites and of course, their customary pop of colour. Here are a few of my favourites:
Star light, star bright: the new hush pre-spring collection
Pick any hush collection and you’ll always find their trademark star somewhere. This collection is no different, featuring this cool, reversible star bomber. I love an easy, comfy jacket for day to day and this beauty will elevate any jeans and tee to a new level.
My favourite boyfriend jeans – the most flattering jeans I’ve ever known, and so comfy too – have been updated with frayed stars. I’m normally vehemently against any sort of embellishment on my denim, but these distressed stars add a subtle twist to a wardrobe staple and I’m loving it. Some of my originals are now four or five years old and still going strong, but I think I’ll be adding a pair of these into the mix.
There are more stars on this gorgeous, slouchy raglan tee in the shape of embroidery dotted all over the arms. I love this, but I’m not a fan of navy (there’s a lot of navy in this new pre-spring collection), so I’m hoping against hope for a grey/black version to come out in the next collection.
After all the glitz and grown up dressing of the festive season, it’s refreshing to see so many stylish new casual basics in this collection. I’m always looking for great tops to wear day to day with jeans, and this relaxed fit, semi sheer raw edge long sleeve tee in granite green looks great.
I adore these bright little birds printed onto a classic white tee, and I’m intrigued by these cropped flare jeans too. It’s not a shape I’ve ever worn before but I’m tempted by the high waist and I like the fact that they’re fitted through the bum and thigh before flaring out at the ankle. I’m definitely going to order a pair to try them on – could they finally tempt me away from my beloved boyfriends?
For a pop of colour to brighten up any grey January day, I can think of nothing better than this soft sweatshirt, enhanced with puff sleeves in the most glorious guava.
