Our bedroom is a mess. In fact, it’s such a mess that I no longer feel I can yell at the boys to clean up their bedrooms – ours is almost as bad as theirs. Bedrooms should be a retreat – a comfy oasis of calm to escape your busy day. Our is so chaotic, it’s actually worse than staying downstairs and suffering the ongoing building work!
Our problem is storage. We have enough hanging space, but the pine chests of drawers we have just aren’t enough to cope with all our t-shirts and undies, plus they’re so ugly – I’ve totally gone off pine – so I’ve been looking around at some different storage solutions. Surprisingly, Tesco have some really nice bedroom furniture ideas.
I love a bit of Scandi chic, and these solid American white oak chests of drawers (above) really caught my eye. I really like the matching bedside tables too – enough room for a book and a few lotions and potions:
I also desperately need a full length mirror. The only person in the house who owns one is Charlie (on the front of his wardrobe) and he hates it when we all file in to check our outfits in his mirror. Time for one of our own, methinks, and I love these ones that just lean up against the wall:
And, seeing as I’m planning a relaxing retreat, how about a comfy, squishy chair to curl up into with a nice glass of wine and a good book? I love this Hampton fabric chair:
I love it all. What’s caught your eye?
