The gang at Disney have been really busy creating fantastic new experiences for us to try. They’ve just announced that Disney Cruise Line will be cruising out of New York, Miami and Galveston in 2016, plus there’ll be British Isles cruises for the first time! There’s also the return of the fantastic value Virgin Holidays Free Disney dining plan at Walt Disney World, Florida!
First up, Disney Cruise Line have announced that the Disney Magic will be sailing out of New York for a very limited time in the autumn of 2016 with Bahamas cruises that will also include a stop at Port Canaveral, which is less than an hour away from Walt Disney World Resort, Florida (guests will receive a one day Park Hopper ticket and transfers from the ship to the resort).
There will also be a sailing from New York to Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, which sounds like an incredible experience.
Next up, DCL have announced sailings from Miami to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, again on the Disney Magic, with dates in November and December 2016. At the same time, the Disney Wonder will be heading to Texas, for cruises out of Galveston with a range of seven night itineraries, including a Galveston/KeyWest/Castaway Cay/Nassau (Bahamas) trip and a Galveston/Falmouth (Jamaica)/Grand Cayman/Cozumel (Mexico) trip. There will also be two four-night sailings in November to Cozumel (Mexico). These are great timing as they’ll either include Halloween-themed or Christmas-themed events and decorations, depending on the dates.
Closer to home, DCL have also announced new ‘Frozen’ inspired cruises to Norway and Iceland from Dover, and a brand new British Isles itinerary, visiting England, Scotland, Ireland and then France. So if you’re not keen on flying, but want to experience some Disney magic, these cruises are perfect for you.
Bookings for the new itineraries start TODAY! To learn more about Disney Cruise Line or to book a holiday, visit www.disneycruise.com, call Disney Cruise Line on 0800 171 2317 or contact your travel agent.
In other news, the very popular free Disney dining offer has returned at Virgin Holidays! Book a holiday to Walt Disney World Resort, Florida with Disney park tickets for five nights or more, and all travellers dine for free. The dates covered are 1st January to 15th March, and 3rd April to 30th November 2016 (but I think there are some restrictions). So for example, if you stay at what is called a ‘moderate resort’, you’ll get the free ‘quick service dining plan’ and for a Disney ‘deluxe resort’ or villa, you’ll get the free Disney dining plan for your whole stay.
Plus, you’ll receive $200 Disney spending money and you’ll also be eligible for 14 Disney park days for the price of seven on an Ultimate Park Ticket. Book between before 3rd November 2015. Terms and conditions apply and there’s quite a lot of information to go through, so it’s worth clicking on the Virgin Holidays Disney dining plan info page to have a proper read, or even better, pop in to one of their retail outlets and let them explain it all to you!
