Toys 4 Big Boys, RDS Dublin

So Hubby’s birthday surprise was a trip to the RDS in Dublin for a visit to Toys4BigBoys .  Seriously, this place is boy heaven: there were tanks, quad bikes, motorbikes, radio-controlled helicopters, amazing models:

… there were robots (and they battled!  Savage!).  This one followed unsuspecting passers by and squirted them with water:

… there were BMX geezers throwing themselves around on ramps:

… more loons on ramps… this time a rollerblader:

And… Porsches, Rolls Royces, Mustangs, the new Opel Insignia (gorgeous), and of course… Ferraris!:

… and hot women in very short skirts (sorry, no photos here – Hubby didn’t dare in case he got a slap).  #2 spent an inordinately large amount of time chatting to a young lady in a pornographically short skirt and a top cut so low you had to swim through puddles of teenage drool.  He called her the ‘Boob Lady’.  I think it was love.

The highlight for us, though, was the incredible Extreme Globe Riders who did… THIS:

Worth a trip to the RDS if you’re around Dub this weekend.  Aren’t I a lubly wifey?  Eh?  Eh?

ps … sent any birthday cards out recently ???

Seriously, send Hubby and ther boys out here… they would love the garages we have along the main PCH…. boys heaven !!, Mrs M is very worried I will wander in, and come out with our life savings invested in a supercar !!!!

Moon: Yes, I may well have inadvertently wrongly addressed your ma’s birthday card in a spectacularly blonde fashion. There, I’ve said it, now stop crowing. Hmmm, depreciation might mean that you’re living on tins of spam come pension day I’m afraid!! x

We have this exhibition every now and then just called “Big Boy’s Toys” I first took Adam when he was a nipper, blew him away and cost me a bomb for a Remote Control Car! If you ever get the chance to see Crusty Demons (Motocross Trixters), well worth fronting the crowd of boguns to watch their antics, the boys will love it! (and more women in short skirts and boob tubes)

  4. And the not dropping out to say hi is why? We would have fed ye. If we’d been home.

  5. English Mum says:

Baino: They had a similar display here at Slane Castle – Red Bull X fighters or something – apparently they were fantastic.

Lots of my memories from when I was young are of the Disreputable One taking us to places like the Royal Tournament at Earls Court…all big guns and stunt dogs and stuff. We loved it. Great way to build some memories x

Thrifty: No way, you live round there? It’s well posh! x

We drove past the RDS yesterday. Many happy-looking boys clutching their bags of loot wandering out.

  7. Megan says:

This post sounds suspiciously like you had just as good a time as your “boys” did! So I don’t know just how much kudos are in order?

    :)

  8. English Mum says:

Wee One: Yeh, everybody had those bags – I didn’t see where to get them. Always the way… x

Meg: Erm, well I was kind of an honorary boy for the day :)

  9. And there was me thinking your food posts made me drool. Heh!

  10. Feck no, we’re miles out, but near the M50.

  11. English Mum says:

T McD: The Boob lady would definitely have done that, believe me.

Thrifty: Lucky thing. Mind you, went to the Red Cow yesterday. God, I’ve no idea how people can do those journeys every day x

Am I mad or just pervy but is there or is there not a pink and dangly bit descending from the crotch of the metallic creature in the first photo. Please tell me there isn’t.I’ll sleep better.

  13. English Mum says:

Paulo: Hee! It’s the ankle of the teeny tiny Japanese lady that was selling them. There. Better?
    Great spot, though!
