The Friday photo: what a difference a week makes

Lovely day

So I wake up this morning (first one up, don’t you just love half term?) and walk outside with Bert, bracing myself, to be confronted by…sunshine.  I’m a  little shocked at first.  What’s this?  The sun on my face?  I rush back upstairs and fling open the curtains to show Hubby.  ‘Look!  You can even see the windfarm through the mist!’

This was the same view less than a week ago:

Snowy day

And here’s a close-up of that skyline.  And then I remember exactly why I love living here.  Half an hour’s drive to Tesco?  Pah.  I’ll settle for it, in exchange for this view.

Windfarm

Oh, and the Friday Fridge?  It’s over at Aussie’s house.

Isn’t it good to be at peace with the world you live in – you’re so right I wouldn’t trade my view for city living either – enjoy!!!! x

Great photos EM. It’s a lovely sunny day in London today as well. I have the weekend to look forward to. I will be a happy bunny. :)

Kate: I love it. We can very rarely see the windfarm, but I love it. There’s something so peaceful about seeing those blades turning x

Nutty: Ah, now that’s not to say I don’t miss London because I do. Have a lovely weekend, you xx

  4. OMG you live right near some friends of ours I think!! Small world!!!

Gorgeous view aswell, would give up all this for that in a heartbeat!

  5. Growup says:

Colour me jealous! Bet your snow was better than ours.

It is indeed a gorgeous view, I’ll miss mine when it’s gone that’s for sure. We’re amid a week or so of rain which has the same effect on me as sunshine does on you. At last , there’s a tinge of green on the lawn! (I’m working on the fridge but it’s so empty at the moment it would make a sad contribution!)

Rach: No way! Get them to call in for a cuppa! Yeh, it’s a lovely view – not that we see that far very often :)

Growup: Yo! Our snow was okay for a couple of days. No great shakes though – my Ma in the Uk had tons.

Baino: I tried not to nag about the fridge, honest! Ooh, rain at last – did you run around starkers in it?!

  8. Ah, you sent everyone to my place, and I missed it all! The rain Baino mentioned caused all my neighbourhood to loose t’intar’nets for days. Wow, I struggle to believe that your view could change as quickly as those photos featured above. Amazing!Spring must be on it’s way for you.. oh, but that thought makes me sad all over again for your poor greenhouse. x

  9. English Mum says:

Aussie: Me too. It’s spuds or nothing from now on. Boo :( Although sausage and mash sounds rather nice… yay!
