That’s gotta hurt

Bert: weird.

So okay, I admit it. I moved Bertie’s chair. Well, in my defence, there was a corner of the lounge that looked really bare after the Christmas tree had gone. And anyway, what sane person reserves a chair in their office just because a particularly lanky streak of greyhound doesn’t realise that he’s a dog and should sit on the floor? Okay. I feel slightly guilty. What? I put a rug down didn’t I?

That is one of the best photographs I have seen in ages!

Don’t be mean. Give him his chair back.

Grandad. Isn’t he an arse? I think he contorts himself on purpose just to make me feel guilty. Oh okay, maybe I’ll buy him a beanbag or something…

  3. Taffy\'s Mum says:

I love the way Bertie has curled himself around the corner of the room!

  4. englishmuminireland says:

TM: I’m trying to train him as a doorstop. Handy! xx

  5. Taffy\'s Mum says:

EM – he would make a perfect draught excluder – lying against the bottom of the doors ;)

  6. Conortje says:

    Oh my god – that’s brilliant – I love it :-)

  7. englishmuminireland says:

TM: That’s it! I’ll set him to work – it’s dashed windy up here in them thar hills!

Con: He’s truly bonkers. He was in bed with J the lodger this morning – head on pillow, nose neatly tucked into his neck. Luckily he’s single otherwise he might object! x

  8. Whippet or greyhound? Can’t gauge the size from the photo :-) My aunt had a whippet that was a mean rabbiter

  9. englishmuminireland says:

Thrifty: Greyhound. He’s a 90lb whopper and takes up an unfeasibly large portion of the bed. He’s more of an armchair rabbiter and will often drool on the windowsill when he can see one, but outside? Nah, it’s chilly! xx
