That looks soooooooo yum!! I live in Luxembourg, do you think eggs laid be hens raised ‘in the sun’ (not great french translation) are free range, I’m never entirely sure.

Your pancakes look gorgeous

All for free range, I had to experience a battery farm aged 9 for a children’s school T.V programme about farming. I wouldn’t touch anything but free range as I still have that memory etched in my head. A friend sent me a D.V.D of the programme the whole thing nearly turned my daughter veggie as it had done me all those years ago.

I like you love to get free range eggs from our farm shop when I can as those ones taste really fantastic

Me too, Nic! And if I’m feeling extra generous, the farm shop near me does duck eggs – they’re amazing: big golden yolks on them. Yum!

That’s the trouble, though, isn’t it? The labelling isn’t really clear and we always gravitate towards the cheapest products.

YUM off to make some now for a late brekkie! My OH always buys caged eggs as they are so much cheaper, but I can’t face eating them – it makes me feel a bit queasy, so I buy free range for my baking & for me to eat..!

This is why I love living in rural Ireland is loads of my friends keep hens and give me eggs.Otherwise I get them from my neighbours shed and leave him money. (ok sometimes Lidl. If doing a LOT of baking.)
