The Friday photo: spot the Ninja

The Ninja Cat of Death, when not entertaining herself by ‘poofing’ into a large and slightly spiky cloud shape to terrify the dog, or eating the dog’s dinner while poor Millie sits, quietly gibbering in terror, nearby, really likes the snow.

I think it appeals to her inner ninjaness to be able to step out into the garden and then disappear. But then she totally ruins it be leaping about like an idiot for ten minutes, getting cold, and appearing at the window making silent ‘MAOW!’ noises (roughly translated: ‘let me in, you gits’) while we sit, all warm and comfy, and laugh at her.

Well, the dog’s got to get her own back sometime, right?

Not a cat but, my mum has a Yorkshire Terrier that “bullies” next doors boxer dog. Who says that size matters!

  2. Disreputable Dad says:

Are you sure we did have a very nice milkman ?????????????

  3. Cats are very clever aren’t they? I mean she looks really cute and um, friendly in that picture :)

Great pic :) Oh cats are so clever… if that was a doggie you would easily track it down because it would have wee’d on everything.

  5. Disreputable Dad says:

you have to question the sanity of someone who takes a photo of a white cat
on a snowy day !!!!!!!!!! By the way how are the b……s ?

    d.d.

  6. My two hate the snow, and the rain, and the cold…….basicaly, they like the fireplace and anything soft and cushy. They also hate the neighbour’s cat, which sits outside my patio doors meowing in a very non-silent manner. My two sit inside and growl in harmony back. They make quite the noise. I don’t think they would get on too well with NCOD!

LOVE this! I’ve been reading your blog since ’08 and love it. im american (guilty), but coming back to good ‘ol ireland for a visit in january. i’ll be over by you, so i’ll be sure to look out for NCOD! would love to meet you (but i know that’s strange)

Ah yes, the silent miaow technique….we have that in our house too…no ninja-ness here but we do have a strong silent type, a very lazy type and one so disdainful you could burst into flames with one of her dirty looks!!!

  9. She is like a miniature polar bear out there prowling in the snow. Is that fresh snow or is that a pic from the last round? Does she have a name other than NCOD or is that her official title?

  10. Arlene says:

Oh she’s so cute! What do you say when you call her? “Here Ninjacatofdeath! Here puss!”? :D

Also, is there really that much snow in Cavan???
(*worries about getting home for Christmas*)

Well, I call her Ninje, but my evil teens call her ‘minge’ which is slightly harsh…

No, it’s not too bad now actually, a little sprinkling this morning, but the sun’s melting it already. x

    Excellent photo! She’s so gorgeous.

2 years on after getting our little terrified doggie he now chases the cat around the kitchen. Your time will come Millie. Your. Time. Will. Come. !!! :)

    • English Mum says:

Haha I think it will, Jenn! Made me laugh watching her scoff the dog’s dinner – couldn’t help but think if that was Bert he’d have removed your head from your body by now, kitty.
