Review: Kylie Minogue At Home throw from Palmers Department Store

My beautiful Kylie At Home throw.

My beautiful Kylie At Home throw.

I’ve been SPECTACULARLY clumsy and idiotic this week, even by my own standards.  I’ve nearly killed myself (and somebody else, but then he did walk out in front of my car) whilst driving, set fire to ANOTHER tea towel, and broken one of my gorgeous big red wine glasses.  I think it’s because I’ve got a lot on my plate – my brain is whizzing with work, Christmas lists, party food… and I still haven’t even made my Christmas cake.

All this means that in the evening, our lounge, with flickering fire, scented candles and twinkling tree has become a real refuge.  I’ve been snuggling down, safe in the knowledge that there’s not a lot I can break or burn, and relaxing with a glass of wine.

Coincidentally, Palmers Department Store sent me an absolutely beautiful throw to review: it’s by Kylie Minogue’s At Home range and is called Kavala.  It has beautiful, silky pleats on one side and is just plain soft quilted cotton on the other.  It’s perfect for snuggling up on the sofa, but I’ve been taking it upstairs to lay it across the bed in the evening as well.

If you get a chance, check out Palmers’ website. I’m not sure that everyone’s heard of them but they’re well worth a visit online – their Kirstie Allsopp bedlinen is also very pretty – especially for bedroom stuff for little girls, and they stock my favourite Denby Monsoon Veronica – discounted at the moment (take note, Santa!).

Anyway, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to snuggle.

And hopefully I’ll remember to blow the candles out.

Thanks to Palmers for sending me the beautiful throw.

I love your comment English Dad, really really made me laugh.
Lovely tree and lovely throw, although that pale colour makes me shudder with two two n a half year olds in the house.
I too am a bit stressed with all the preps that need doing. We’ll get there though, we always do.xxxx
