I’ll be honest, I’m already a bit obsessed with kate spade new york. There’s a huge John Lewis just by Mr E’s work and one of the first sections when you walk in is the stationery. I adore stationery anyway – I have more notebooks then I can ever possibly fill up – but oh, just look at the kate spade new york ones:
I love all the bright colours and quirky graphics, so I was delighted to discover that for the first time, John Lewis will be stocking kate spade new york dining and glassware ranges too, and there is some seriously cool stuff on offer – in fact, over 100 new products will be added in total. I’ve seen some of it before in Macy’s when I was in the States, and it’s just as lovely as I remember. The About Town range features whimsical cityscapes, but if you’re after sophisticated tableware and crystal, there’s plenty of that too.
So far, my faves are these adorable About Town building salt and pepper shakers (£30) these spectacular Collins Avenue champagne flutes (£40), the lovely Charlotte Street tableware (there are all sorts of individual items, but you can buy a Charlotte Street East 4 place setting for £80, and these huge and rather beautiful Bellport crystal large wine glasses. Everything comes in lovely kate spade new york gift boxes, and there are lots of very pretty things for weddings too, including ‘his and hers’ glasses and this fabulous two of a kind ‘ours’ decanter.
I can’t wait to pop in to a store and check them out in person. Let’s just hope Mr E’s reading so he can nab some ideas for the next few Christmas and birthday pressies.
