Last week, when I was at Dunelm, there were a couple of items that really caught my eye. The first, as you know, is anything and everything copper. I’ve got to be honest, I wasn’t sure whether there was a place for copper in our kitchen, what with all the tropical colours, but it turns out that it works really well.
I’ve actually discovered that copper is a great choice for mixing with colour, adding subtle warm highlights that have really lifted the whole colour scheme, without overwhelming it. The Moroccan lamp was by far my best purchase – it throws the most gorgeous patterns across the room, adding an interesting highlight to what once was a bit of a boring area.
Moving on from the kitchen, the collection that most caught my eye is called ‘global fusion‘. At the moment our en-suite is half done: the shower is in and the tiles have been chosen (they’re large, dark grey granite tiles). The global fusion range features monochrome geometric patterns, with accents of copper and some tropical foliage and I’m thinking it’s the perfect inspiration for our new bathroom space:
Spot those amazing monochrome pattern towels again:
Love this Ikat roller blind too:
I love the idea of adding tropical plants and succulents for a splash of colour, and those hints of copper for warmth and glow. Utterly gorgeous.
