ENGLISH MUM IN THE PRESS

In which the Beaut.ie girls make me feel all celebtastic

So if you live in Ireland, you’ll know all about Beaut.ie – Ireland’s beauty blog.  The girlies are the first place to look for everything beauty related: product news and reviews, tons of hints and tips and plenty of goss too.  Anyhoo, the Beauts are doing a series on us girly bloggers and the lubly Kirstie interviewed me for the blog.  Ooh, I felt all famous and special!  Anyhoo, if you want to read my interview, rush over to beaut.ie and have a look.  No pictures, please!

    It’s all a bit sexist …..

I have also noted that the majority of Blogs are by girls … is that cos you have sooooo much time on your hands when you should be cooking, cleaning etc …. ???

  2. English Mum says:

Moon: What rubbish! What about Mulley.net and Twenty (okay so he’s given up now but…) And Thrifty! And Aidan and Maxi, and Cortes and Darren and Grandad and Conortje and Darragh and Mr McDanger and Kirk in Vermont and Manuel and Quickroute and Roy the Taxi and Kieran and Lar at Sour Grapes and Martin Dwyer ? Hmmm? HMMM?

    Oh and you!!!!

And seriously Moon, cleaning? I did that last year.

  3. English Mum says:

Oh and Hubby says you’re right – you are a girl. LOL!

  4. Moon says:

Hubby can go poke himself, and you have too much time on your hands !!!!!

  5. English Mum says:

Sheesh. I poked him for you

It took me feckin’ ages to put all those links up too! x

  6. Moon says:

    that sounds very rude !!!

  7. English Mum says:

Moon: Sod off, I’m trying to watch Rachel Allen. And she’s much prettier than you too xx

  8. Moon says:

thats not a nice way to talk to your bloggers and fav cousin !!!

  9. Baino says:

My God! What a lot of ‘product’. Personally I’m a Nivea Glow, any old lippy and Estee Lauder mascara is a must girl! I believe Anusol is good for ‘tightening’ those wrinkles and reducing red capilliaries but I’ve never had the courage to put it in the supermarket trolley for fear of ‘looks’ from the checkout chick! (Well that and putting cream that’s meant for you know where on my face which is a bit disconcerting!)

  10. Tara says:

    nice! you’re famous!

  11. Kate says:

Very interesting – but I think I’ll stick with the polyfilla!!!!! congratulations tho!

  12. jennynib says:

    Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!

In a fair scrap, Moon, she’d kick your lily white arse!

    Boo!

Lashings of water (taken internally) and a bottle of rose water as toner from the chemist (€2.50) make for a fresh puss.

    There! My secrets out!

  13. Wee Jen says:

OOh – my computer is going all ‘network error’ when I click on the link (that’s been happening all morning to me for lots of sites, so don’t worry, it’s not your link).

Don’t think the beaut.ie girls will be interviewing me anytime soon tho’. I don’t wear make-up, I don’t have any interesting moisturising routines and, well, I’ve got one bottle of perfume which I hardly ever use! :-)

  14. jennynib says:

(Can’t get the damn think to load. Feck!)

  15. Natalie says:

Phew trying to catch up on all my blog reading, I seriously have limited time and as I am stuck at home immobile this is the perfect opportunity, and then I see you have a JOB!!! Congratulations and especially great that it is what you love doing…lucky, lucky you! I found a few more recipes for you to test…or not, but you will have to visit my blog to get the link…or not…it is at your own peril/stomach churning…great to catch up on all your goings on, I may not be around so much but I have not forgotten you!

  16. English Mum says:

Moon: You know I love you really x

Baino: Ah yes, I’m definitely Boots’ bitch! I’ve definitely heard the rumour about Anusol but like you I’ve never dared buy any!! x

Tara: Mildly, and anonymously, but yeah I guess so. Woo! Not as famous as you, Mrs Radio Interview and Magazine Spread x

Kate: Ta. I love Beaut.ie so I’m above flattered.

Jen: I love rose water! It’s lovely in the icing on cup cakes

  17. English Mum says:

Wee One: That’s ‘cos you’re naturally gorgeous and I need all the help I can get ;)

Nats: Immobile? Goodness me, what on earth have you done? I’m on my way over to yours x

  18. Wee Jen says:

Nope, it’s because I’m phenomenally lazy and prefer an extra 10 mins in bed instead of applying the slap ;-)
