I don’t know about you, but I’m SO glad to see the back of January and February – all that rain, wind and general misery has left me longing for bright spring mornings, sunshine and a few bright colours. Of course, February wasn’t without its perks, and a few things made February bearable, including:
This absolutely stonking Pinot Noir (above) – a pressie from Mr English for Valentine’s Day. We’re working our way through quite a lot of American reds at the moment, and this Clarksbury, California beauty is worth seeking out – it’s lush and silky and stuffed full of ripe fruit flavours.. Gorgeous.
These gorgeous new Bahlsen PiCK UP! biscuits – a nice thick layer of chocolate in between two tasty biccies. We loved them – oh and apparently you have to look out for the new advert which features a Ninja Chihuahua (you heard it here first):
This gorgeous, fruity, very easy drinking Carignan Syrah from Sainsbury’s (currently two for a tenner – bargainous):
Both of these fabulous products from the East India Company – the chocolate sugar will be featuring heavily in our pancake day celebrations, and the strawberry and pepper jam is an absolute revelation – amazing on scones.
My new find from Clarins – Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in champagne – smooth a tiny bit over your moisturiser before foundation and it gives you an amazing glow, whilst toning down any redness in your face, leaving you looking peachy and fresh. I love it:
And I can’t mention February without mentioning that this lunatic passed his test on February 14th and is now loose in his (my) car on a road very near you. Be afraid. Well done my son xx
