If you read the title and those chunky clog-like shoes appeared in your mind, well, they did mine too, so when Crocs asked if I’d like to have a look at their spring range I was a bit hesitant. I think the original Crocs are a bit like marmite – you either love them or you hate them. We have a couple of pairs by the back door as they’re great for slipping on for gardening, or taking the dog out, but I could never really see myself wearing them out. It turns out, though that they have some really cute new spring shoes that are perfect for the warmer weather and holidays too.
If you’re like me and really, really don’t like going barefoot near pools or at waterparks then a cute little pair of flip flops is an essential part of your holiday packing. I like these classic pink flips, which are so much nicer than traditional flat flip flops as they’re really cushiony and comfy (Crocs use something called Croslite foam) without looking at all chunky:
I also really liked the sweet little Isabella sandals (top) that come in all sorts of ice cream colours and have really soft, stretchy straps, which make them really comfortable and easy to walk in. Really cute and comfy to wear to the beach (where you know the sand won’t ruin them) and with the same comfy, cushioned sole which makes them lovely to wear yet still light and airy when you’re sightseeing or walking around a theme park.
Do have a look at Crocs’ new ranges, though, I was really impressed – they’ve even got wedges and sweet little slip on shoes now.
Also, if you want to win a pair of these new Crocs to try yourself, you can enter their #momsdayoff competition ( I know it’s ‘mom’, not ‘mum’ but I think that’s because the company is American). All you have to do is follow Crocs on Facebook, Twitter: @Crocs_UK, or Instagram: @CrocsEU, then post a pic capturing your day off and post it on any social media platform, using the hashtag #MomsDayOffContest to enter. Ten lucky winners will win a £30 voucher for Crocs and £70 cash and fifty runners up will receive £30 vouchers.
