Now you know I love Christmas, right? Well, I’m very lucky because I get to do it twice. I know! Every year, a lot of the brands do this AMAZING thing called Christmas in July, when they decorate a lovely area in London and nosey people like me (bloggers, journalists, etc) get to go along and have a look at all the fabulous glittery things that the brands have got planned for Christmas. HOLD ME BACK! Anyhoo, so I grabbed my friend Kylie and we headed off to the best of the Christmas in July shows. Here’s how we got on!
Ohhhh John Lewis, how I love thee. John Lewis decorated a gorgeous, bare brick underground space, which was perfect as it was cosy and Christmassy even though it was scorchio outside (although not great for photos, sorry). We started with a delicious, Christmassy Sipsmith Winter G&T and then wandered the rooms, oohing and aahing over gorgeous fashion and sparkly room sets:
We also bumped into the ladies of Biscuiteers – check out their gorgeous Christmas range which will be available in John Lewis:
I even got my own delicious little Christmas jumper:
As well as gorgeous gifts, the tree decorations were particularly creative. LOVE the pink passport:
And wait… a little secret was revealed as well. I spy hush homewear! I’m absolutely delighted to let you know that hush will be opening concessions initially in five John Lewis stores: Birmingham, Chelmsford, Leeds, Oxford Street and Peter Jones! I’ll have more information very soon, and loads of great pics and choices from the hush autumn/winter 2016 collection, but I’m chuffed to bits for them – it’s a fabulous move and I hope that it will introduce more and more women to the fabulousness that is the hush brand. For now, here’s a sneaky peek. Check out this gorgeous jumper:
After the excitement of John Lewis, we headed for the Etsy showroom where there was more cooing over gorgeous gifts and lovely things for the home…
And we even got the chance to take part in a Bloom & Wild flower workshop and make lovely little posies! I love Bloom & Wild (you may have seen pictures of their letterbox flowers on my Instagram feed) and we were talked through the process of making these tiny posies that are grouped together to make the prettiest displays:
Here are some that I made earlier 🙂
Such fun! Lastly, I had to pop in to my friends at Dunelm, who had decorated an entire house on Dean Street. The table display was utterly gorgeous:
I love the details, like these sweet wine glasses:
Still obsessed with copper. Look at these gorgeous cutters – they were really heavy and good quality too:
Ahh such a fun day. Thanks to all the lovely brands for having us! Only 158 days to go, people!
Ho, ho, ho!
