Now you all know I’m a huge Boden fan, and it’s that time of year again when they’re releasing gorgeous pictures of all their beautiful beach and holiday ranges. I love Boden for great quality, bold patterns, awesome design and just a little hint of British quirkiness. As an added bonus, from now until tomorrow, Sunday 11th June, there’s 30% off dresses, (including playsets and rompers), accessories (non-footwear), boys’ trousers and menswear with code: 6T2C. Here’s my pick of Boden’s holiday heroes – get those credit cards at the ready!
Now I’ve spoken about this before, but it doesn’t matter what size or shape you are, everyone should be wearing a bikini if they want to. The key message is to buy a really good quality, supportive one that suits your body shape. I love Boden’s swimwear, which doesn’t disintegrate in sea water or chlorine, is sold in handy mix and match separates so you can choose your perfect bikini, and has enough bum coverage that you’re not constantly fighting to maintain your dignity. I haven’t got particularly big boobs, so I tend to choose something like this bandeau bikini top (£27 – extra bonus points for the removeable strap for when you’re sunbathing and don’t want marks). For a little extra coverage, I like the idea of these cute bikini shorts (currently £22.50) too. I won’t look like this gorgeous lady in them but hey, I can deal with that 🙂
If you prefer a swimsuit…
There are loads to choose from, including simple styles like this Monaco swimsuit (£55), which may look like it’s pretty easy and sporty, but actually comes with loads of flattering hidden extras, like lightly padded fitted cups and a figure-enhancing power mesh lining. Love this pattern too:
If you like a halter neck, I like the Santorini swimsuit (currently £54) which comes in tons of different colours and patterns, and has body sculpting lining and hidden cups:
Boden do these so well. From gorgeous print and plain kaftans to loose, flowy linen shirts and easy, jersey dresses, however you choose to get from beach to bar, Boden have you covered (see what I did there?). This Cleo kaftan (currently £63) comes in some lovely colourways:
I love these loose, linen shirts too (currently £49.50). So easy to pop over your swimmers, and they do a longer length too, if you’re tall or you want extra bum cover (the candy stripe version is extra cute too):
If you’d rather pull a soft dress over your swimmers at the beach, then may I introduce you to the very pretty and versatile Tarifa dress (currently £45). Loads of reviewers are raving about how soft, comfy and flattering this one is – a perfect holiday dress. And who can resist a cute li’l pompom trim? Love the yellow Louisa sandals (currently £63) shown here too.
Also, can I just point out that this gorgeous denim playsuit is currently just £23.85 (reduced from £79.50) with most sizes still available? I’ve got absolutely no idea why this beauty hasn’t sold out.
And for everything else…
For accessories, there are shoes, bags, sunnies and hats galore. The gorgeous Mimosa yellow tassel pouch bag (top) is already a hit with me: the perfect little bag for sightseeing and balmy evenings. These Angelina slides come in all sorts of different colours and textures (and there’s that stunning kaftan again):
For the perfect beach bag, look no further than this gorgeous Donna beach bag (more pompom perfection) – it’s a bit of a stretch at £72, but it does look like it will last and last:
Last but not least, pop on a pair of these gorgeous, gold Pamplona sunnies, grab your SPF and you’re totally beach-ready.
So many gorgeous things! I’m starting with the lovely stripey linen shirt, and the blue and white stripe bikini (oh that gorgeous, perfect-for-holidays Mimosa bag)! What will you be buying for the beach this year? xx
