Ooh it’s a very exciting weekend wishlist this week. It’s just been announced that denim lifestyle range AND/OR has launched exclusively with John Lewis. Created by LA based designers Calvin Rucker, and inspired by the sunny upbeat lifestyle of LA, the premium range of jeans and denim is complemented with a full collection of clothing, shoes, bags, accessories and lingerie, and it’s all pretty heavenly, if I’m honest. I absolutely love denim and I’m so excited to see John Lewis teaming up with these incredible women. What I love about the AND/OR at John Lewis range is that it mixes classic cuts and heritage washes (designers Caroline Calvin and Joie Rucker originally met at Levi’s) with on trend pieces and great basics like tees and lingerie too.
Another thing that I really like is that you can shop the range by look, as well as just by individual item, which is really inspiring and creative. This one – look 6 (above) is my favourite by far – completely understandably, the gorgeous boho tote bag (£69) is out of stock already (I’ll let you know when it’s back).
The Westlake wide leg jeans are utterly gorgeous too. For those of us with curves, sometimes skinny jeans can feel like they accentuate our widest areas a little too much, so I love the idea of trying a completely different cut. They’re premium denim, so they come with a £120 price tag, but I suspect that they’re going to have us all saving up to buy a few pieces!
The Venice Beach boyfriend jeans look amazeballs too – and at a slightly more affordable £89. I love a pair of boyfriend jeans – they’re just so flattering and easy to wear:
And oh my goodness, the accessories are to die for too. I’m especially in love with the gorgeous sandals. These leather Levina tassel toe post sandals are actually good value at £59 I think – they look much more expensive and have basically everything I adore: leopard print, a bit of metallic, and tassels! I just think they look effortlessly boho and cool – they’re making me look forward to summer already.
Every so often a range comes along and you just think ‘oh, this is made for me’ and I think this could be the one – it’s proper laid back luxe. What do you think? Have a look and let me know your favourites. The range is available online now and in 15 stores across the country.
