A shining star of wonderful gorgeousness

Are you the next Mr Kipling?

So the lovely people at RTÉ have asked me to tell you all about their new competition.   They’re looking for amateur cooks with a great recipe or signature dish that they think could make it big in the marketplace.  The more unique or innovative the idea the better.

So if you’ve invented something fahbilis, then click on http://www.rte.ie/tv/recipeforsuccess/ for more information and an application form.  Closing date for applications is 26th September so get cracking!  Oh, and if you win, remember your mates, eh?

Oooo. Finally a chance to share my personal twist on that French classic, the Nun Fart pastry.

Though I can’t imagine why no one ever thought to add chocolate bits before…
    ???

How fascinating – and what a coincidence! I have just posted a few words on an aging treasure that I found hidden in my kitchen cupboard.
Maybe I could use it to knock up something exciting!!!
Trouble is I wouldn’t be able to see it over here?

  3. Maxi Cane says:

A few of the rules prohibit me form entering, and I had a perfectly good recipe too.

  4. English Mum says:

    Susan: Can’t think why 8O

Kate: Ah, good point. You should enter just for the craic – they might fly you over!!

    Maxi: God, I almost daren’t ask… x

I guess beans on toast probably won’t make the cut?

  6. English Mum says:

Quicky: Oh, I don’t know – isn’t that what Jamie Oliver serves at Fifteen?! x

  7. Aisling says:
