Burn baby, burn

Now you’ll remember that the unfeasibly expensive fireplace gives Hubby a funny turn every time he passes by (he’s still not recovered), but now it’s all covered in holly and baubles and little tea lights, he likes it a lot better. So here, for Nats, is my festive fireplace in all its glory. I have to say the pic doesn’t really do it justice, but it looked rather nice last night. Oh and if you have a fire, get some extra holly, it burns a beautiful shade of blue.

  1. Ahh thanks! It does still look good, I get the idea, will have to try and burn holly, good to get these tips from the Northern Hemisphere! I have just finished unpacking and moving TWO book cases so that I can place my tree in the spot I want to!

  2. Wow - that’s dedication for you, Nats. Two whole bookcases?! Remember we need photographic evidence (oh and I want some of the hamsters too lol) x

  3. Your wish is my command! Stayed up late and photographic evidence is available! But I think my mind is younger than my body, hockey practice and then furniture moving…makes walking upstairs a pain in the rear!!!

  5. By the way, have you noticed that my entire house is painted in banana custard yellow? I’m thinking our builder likes his comfort food. Either that or he’s colour blind.
